I AM VINTZ

Tour photo recap - PART 2

I just spent the last 2 months on tour with Mutemath and Canon Blue. We traveled from San Diego to Seattle to Boston to Ft. Lauderdale, and everywhere in between. Here are some photos I took along the way… PART 2

Hi!

Sparks fly in Orlando (this was a moment when Mutemath shot confetti at the same time as their lights flashed extremely bright, and I caught it on my camera phone)

The last moment of the last song of the last night of tour. Such a great tour!

This one goes out for Jason..

I imagine if I put my heart and soul into something for 10 years, and my goal was to help others and make a positive difference in the world, and in return I received a ton of attention, much of which was harsh criticism - it would be hard to take. I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep at all, or have much of an appetite, and would feel so much pressure to address the attacks and make things right. I might lose it. So, without addressing the various sides of the argument, I’d merely like to express my support, thoughts, and prayers for Jason Russell of Invisible Children. This guy has been through a veritable hell in the last two weeks, and he’s just a human being. In light of recent news, let’s not lose sight of all the amazing things that Invisible Children has done, and the good that can still be accomplished.

Yesterday, I was at Stubb’s in Austin, TX for a show on the Mutemath & Canon Blue tour. There’s a single pool table on the ground floor (featured above). It reminded me of a time back in ‘05, when I was there for SXSW with my band Army Of Me, and hanging out with my good buddy Josh Madden. The photo below is of us hanging out in the indie rock March mayhem of SXSW in Austin, sitting on that same pool table that hasn’t moved an inch.. Just kids.

Going on a little road trip..

And my first bit of news is this… I’m going on tour. The email came a couple weekends ago. It was from my friend Dan James from Nashville, asking if I’d play lead guitar on his upcoming tour. The timing would work, and because his music is so good, I said yes. For the next 6 weeks, I’ll be traveling around the country, playing guitar with Canon Blue. And we’ll be opening for Mutemath on their Odd Soul Tour. That’s a lot of good music for one stage, so I’m looking forward to being a part of it. If you’d like to see the show, or just want to come say hi, I’d love to see you on the road! We’ll be everywhere:

I’ve started a blog

Hi, my name is Vince Scheuerman. I’m known to most people as the singer and songwriter of a couple of musical projects - Army Of Me & River James. Welcome to my brand new blog, titled “I AM VINTZ”. I’m planning to use this to share with you thoughts, ideas, news, and anything else that’s on my mind that takes more than 140 characters - which will happen from time to time. It will be like a 9 week-old puppy who follows me everywhere I go. Just me and whatever I’m up to. So, if you would like to follow along, please do! I’d love the company, and I look forward to connecting with you..
